Becoming a Contractor

Becoming a Contract Services Provider

AAANM provides state and federal funding for certain community-based services through an open and competitive proposal process every three years.

Non-profit corporations, for-profit corporations, or units of general purpose government or agencies thereof, are eligible to respond.  All potential contractors must be able to comply with the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) Operating Standards for Service Programs.

OSA Service Standards

Three-year contracts are awarded to selected organizations.  Funding can vary from year to year based on availability of state and federal dollars.  Currently AAANM holds contracts for:

  • Adult Day Services and Adult Day Transportation
  • Congregate and Home Delivered Meals
  • Legal Assistance
  • Kinship Caregiver Support

The next open and competitive proposal process will be offered in the Spring of 2013.  Any agency interested in being placed on the proposer list should contact AAANM at (231) 947-8920 or 1-800-442-1713 and ask to speak with the AAANM Contract Manager.  Proposal application materials will be available on our website in April of 2013.
