Are you looking to make a difference, enjoy meaningful challenges and working with people?

Medicare Assistance Program Volunteers help older adults and disabled Medicare beneficiaries navigate healthcare insurance options, saving them about $3 million regionally in 2018. Volunteers prepare for certification with online training prior to a 3-day virtual classroom training. Volunteers receive ample mentoring and support.  You determine how much or how little time you want to commit.  Comfort with computers and the internet is valuable.

Long Term Care Ombudsman Volunteers – Are you compassionate, resourceful, and passionate about helping others? The Michigan Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is looking for dedicated volunteers to advocate for the rights and well-being of residents in long-term care facilities. Support individuals in nursing homes, homes for the aged, and adult foster care. Receive training, local guidance, and a mileage reimbursement to assist in your role.Help protect the dignity and rights of elders and adults with disabilities. Contribute to solutions that enhance the quality of care for residents and staff.
