PEARLS Program

The Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives (PEARLS) is proven effective in treating feelings of depression for older adults. Participants learn what depression is (and is not) and develop skills to live more self-sufficient and active lives. Older adults do not need to be diagnosed with depression to participate in this free program.

Feeling a little down, lonely, or overwhelmed lately?

Life changes as we age—and sometimes those changes are hard. Loss, health challenges, or increased isolation can lead to feelings of loneliness, sadness, anxiety, or frustration. These emotions can affect our daily routines, relationships, and overall well-being.

Small steps. Brighter days.

The PEARLS Program pairs you one-on-one with a trained coach who helps you learn simple, practical ways to manage tough emotions and feel more like yourself again.

This is support, encouragement, and small steps that make a real difference.

The program:

  • Increases physical, social, and pleasant activities they enjoy to improve mood
  • Offers problem-solving guidance and treatment
  • Provides participants with 6-8 individual support visits
