Administration on Aging Information designed for Older Americans and their families as well as those concerned about providing the opportunities and services to enrich the lives of older persons and support their independence.

American Society on Aging (ASA0 The American Society on Aging is an association of diverse individuals bound by a common goal: to support the commitment and enhance the knowledge and skills of those who seek to improve the quality of life of older adults and their families. The membership of ASA is a multidisciplinary array of professionals who are concerned with the physical, emotional, social, economic and spiritual aspects of aging. They range from practitioners, educators, administrators, policymakers, business people, researchers, students, and more. ASA is a valuable resource to anyone interested in aging issues. Through our constituent groups and numerous special projects. ASA carries out its commitment to education, diversity, and quality of life for older adults.

CMS or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS is the Federal agency responsible for Medicare and Medicaid. The site is intended for the use of consumers, agencies, medical professionals and persons dealing with public policy.

Elder Care Locator Eldercare Locator is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. The Eldercare Locator is your first step for finding local agencies, in every U.S. community, that can help older persons and their families access home and community-based services like transportation, meals, home care, and caregiver support services.

Government Benefits GovBenefits.gov provides citizens with one, easily accessible source for government benefit and assistance information. The GovBenefits.gov mission focuses on reducing the expense and difficulty of conducting business with the government and increasing access to benefit information, particularly for people with disabilities. GovBenefits.gov is a resource for all citizens and includes information on a variety of benefit and assistance programs for veterans, seniors, students, teachers, children, people with disabilities, dependents, disaster victims, farmers, caregivers, job seekers, prospective homeowners, and more. Citizens are encouraged to visit the website regularly, particularly when life events - applying for college, seeking food/nutrition services, property damaged following a storm, retirement, starting a business, etc. - occur that could change their eligibility status.

Indian Health Service The Indian Health Service (IHS), an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The provision of health services to members of federally-recognized tribes grew out of the special government-to-government relationship between the federal government and Indian tribes. This relationship, established in 1787, is based on Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, and has been given form and substance by numerous treaties, laws, Supreme Court decisions, and Executive Orders. The IHS is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for Indian people, and its goal is to raise their health status to the highest possible level. The IHS currently provides health services to approximately 1.5 million American Indians and Alaska Natives who belong to more than 557 federally recognized tribes in 35 states.

National Association of Area Agencies on Aging The NAAAA fundamental mission is assisting Older Americans allowing them to stay in their own homes and communities with maximum self-dignity and independence for as long as possible.

National Center on Elder Abuse The National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA), directed by the U.S. Administration on Aging, is committed to helping national, state, and local partners in the field be fully prepared to ensure that older Americans will live with dignity, integrity, independence, and without abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The NCEA is a resource for policy makers, social service and health care practitioners, the justice system, researchers, advocates, and families.

National Council on Aging (NCOA) The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is a non-profit service and advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, DC, that is a national voice for older adults – especially those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged -- and the community organizations that serve them. It brings together non-profit organizations, businesses and government to develop creative solutions that improve the lives of all older adults. It also works with thousands of organizations across the country to help seniors live independently, find jobs and benefits, improve their health, live independently and remain active in their communities

Nursing Home Compare Nursing Home Compare is a tool that provides detailed information about the past performance of every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home in the country. It will assist consumers, their families, and caregivers to compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify areas about which they may want to ask questions
